- 100 grams dark chocolate
- 100 grams butter, plus more for brushing the baking dish
- 1-2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 whole eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 120 grams caster sugar
- 100 grams all purpose flour
Preheat the oven at 160 C. Butter a 9-inch baking dish from the centre up to the sides. Coat it with a layer of cocoa powder. Set aside.
Put the chocolate and butter in a heat-proof bowl and place it over a pan with simmering water. Make sure the bowl does not touch the water. Remove from heat when melted and allow the mixture to cool.
Meanwhile, put 2 whole eggs and 2 egg yolks in a medium bowl. Add the caster sugar to that and beat together until light and fluffy.
Pour the cooled chocolate to the egg mixture and beat until combined. Add the flour to the chocolate mixture and fold in until just incorporated.
Transfer into the prepared dish and flatten the top. Bake at 160 C for 17-18 mins. Dust with icing sugar. Serve immediately.
